F. Olivetti

Francesco Oliva (1885–1955) was a Neapolitan landscape painter. Civil registry records place his birth in Naples in 1885; the death register of the same comune records his death in 1955. Exhibition listings in a 1924 and a 1927 gallery catalogue mention marine landscapes signed F. Oliva consistent with the owner's canvas. The Naples gallery label matches a dealer active on Via Chiaia in the 1920s. Documented facts are cited below; the 1924 attribution is a reasonable inference from the catalogue description.
